Archipelago Boat Day is a beloved event where Stockholm\u2019s classic archipelago vessels depart together from Str\u00f6mkajen in a joint convoy bound for Vaxholm. It\u2019s a wonderful opportunity to experience the archipelago at its most atmospheric, with historic ships, a festive mood, and a shared sense of community at sea.<\/p>\n

Upon arrival in Vaxholm, the town comes alive \u2014 with music, local markets, and performances filling the streets and squares. For those who wish to start or end the day with a meal at sea, it is possible to reserve a table on board S\/S Norrsk\u00e4r, S\/S Storsk\u00e4r, and S\/S Blid\u00f6sund.<\/p>\n

Tickets are sold via the Archipelago Passenger Association, and table reservations are made through our customer service starting 30 March.<\/p>\n\n <\/div>\n \n

Northern Boat Line \u2013 full\u2011day excursion from Norrt\u00e4lje Harbour to Arholma<\/strong><\/p>\n

Take the opportunity to experience the northern archipelago with the Northern Boat Line. During July and early August, this popular full\u2011day trip departs from Norrt\u00e4lje Harbour with Arholma as its destination \u2013 one of the finest islands in the archipelago. On board, you can relax on deck and enjoy the views, or visit the ship\u2019s cosy caf\u00e9 offering pastries, light meals, and a glass of wine or beer.<\/p>\n

Once you arrive on Arholma, you\u2019ll have a few hours to explore the island at your own pace. Stroll along scenic paths, visit the island\u2019s historical sites, or simply enjoy the archipelago\u2019s unique atmosphere. In the afternoon, the boat returns to Norrt\u00e4lje Harbour, making the Northern Boat Line a perfect day activity for both locals and visitors who want to discover the northern part of the Stockholm archipelago.<\/p>\n

Our archipelago excursion are day trips to exciting destinations throughout the Stockholm archipelago. Here, you\u2019ll have the chance to visit islands you normally wouldn\u2019t get to. Each tour is created by our knowledgeable captain, G\u00f6ran P. Sj\u00f6din, who also serves as your guide during the journey. What G\u00f6ran doesn\u2019t know about the Stockholm archipelago simply isn\u2019t worth knowing! <\/p>\n

Tickets for the spring excursions were resleased on 1 April but are now sold out. <\/p>\n

\n Steamship Cruises Through the Blid\u00f6sund Strait to Norrt\u00e4lje\n <\/h2>\n\n \n

Join us on a historic journey through the archipelago aboard one of Sweden\u2019s last coal\u2011fired steamships still in regular service. From Skeppsbron to Blid\u00f6 and onward to Norrt\u00e4lje, you\u2019ll glide through postcard\u2011perfect straits while the steam engine beats steadily \u2014 just as it has since 1911. On board, you can enjoy good food, stunning views, and an unforgettable evening in the heart of the archipelago.<\/p>\n

In the final destination, Norrt\u00e4lje, you can choose to stay overnight and spend your Saturday strolling through the picturesque town centre, enjoying a meal by the water, or exploring small shops and galleries. Nature lovers will find beautiful walking paths. For those who only want the cruise, a bus back to Stockholm departs shortly after arrival.<\/p>\n
