Join us on a summer journey through time and discover S\/S Blid\u00f6sund \u2013 the steamship born out of determination and local pride. In the early 1900s, the residents of Blid\u00f6 grew tired of Waxholmsbolaget\u2019s inadequate service and took matters into their own hands. With funds raised and a newly formed shipping company, their own ship was launched in 1911: Blid\u00f6sund.<\/p>\n

Today, S\/S Blid\u00f6sund is a living cultural heritage and one of Sweden\u2019s last coal-fired passenger ships still in regular service. When you step onboard and head through Blid\u00f6sundet towards Norrt\u00e4lje, you\u2019re not just traveling through the archipelago \u2013 you\u2019re traveling through a piece of Swedish history marked by courage, community, and initiative.<\/p>\n

Blid\u00f6 offers sparkling bays, lush forests, and a peaceful summer calm. In the heart of Blid\u00f6sundet, you\u2019ll find small harbors, swimming cliffs, and charming stops along the way. Gliding into the strait on this classic vessel is like stepping straight into a postcard from the early 20th century. Once ashore, a memorable archipelago experience awaits you.<\/p>\n

After visiting Blid\u00f6, the journey continues to the final destination, Norrt\u00e4lje \u2013 the heart of Roslagen. Here you can stroll through the picturesque town center, enjoy a waterside dinner, or explore small shops and galleries. Nature lovers will find beautiful coastal walking trails.<\/p>\n

For those who prefer to return in the evening, there is a direct bus (676) from Norrt\u00e4lje center to Tekniska h\u00f6gskolan in Stockholm.<\/p>\n\n <\/div>\n \n

S\/S Blid\u00f6sund departs at 4:30 PM from Skeppsbron, just below Slottsbacken in Stockholm, and arrives in Norrt\u00e4lje at 11:20 PM. The ship calls at about 20 piers along the way \u2013 see the timetable with stops below.<\/p>\n

Onboard, we offer our \u00c0 la Carte menu during three seating times: 4:00 PM \u2013 6:15 PM, 6:45 PM \u2013 8:45 PM, and 9:15 PM \u2013 11:15 PM. Be sure to reserve a table to secure your spot.<\/p>\n

The ticket price for the full journey\u2014from Stockholm\/Vaxholm all the way to Gr\u00e4dd\u00f6\/Norrt\u00e4lje\u2014is 295 SEK for adults, 125 SEK for children aged 6 to 12, and 25 SEK for toddlers up to 5 years.<\/p>\n

After the Sunday excursion to Svartl\u00f6ga, S\/S Blid\u00f6sund continues from Furusund to Stockholm via the scenic Blid\u00f6sund strait. Departure from Furusund at 3:30 PM, arriving in Stockholm at 7:50 PM.
