Ship for events:

M/S Riddarholmen

M/S Riddarholmen is perfect for various events, accommodating between 70-130 people. There is a large bridge deck where everyone can gather for a welcome drink and enjoy a great view of Stockholm’s archipelago as we set sail. After a pleasant gathering, you will move down to the spacious dining room where everyone can sit together.

Once a delicious meal has been enjoyed, you can continue the celebration with dancing on the bridge deck and relax in the lounge with a drink from the bar, which is also located on the upper deck. All while we slowly make our way back to our home port at Skeppsbron, where the evening concludes.

History

Background of the ship

M/S Riddarholmen was built in 1916 at Motala Verkstad and was originally named S/S Vielle Montagne III. She was specially constructed for the zinc traffic on the Göta Canal, where she operated between Åmmeberg / Otterbäcken / Gothenburg starting in June 1916 until 1969.

In 1990, M/S Riddarholmen was acquired by Rederi AB Göta Kanal, which converted her for passenger traffic and reintroduced her to the Göta Canal, primarily for music and charter cruises.

After six years, Charter Stockholm took over the vessel and stationed her for charter services from the island of Riddarholmen, giving her the current name M/S Riddarholmen.

Since 2010, she has been owned by Blidösundsbolaget and is homeported at Skeppsbron, below the Royal Palace.
