History

Facts about the ship

This ice-breaking classic vessel was built in 1937 as M/S Vesta to serve as Styrsöbolaget’s winter ferry in the Gothenburg archipelago. It has gone through many phases in its long life and came to the Stockholm archipelago after a little over a decade-long exile in Oslo. Since 2016, she has been reunited with her sister ship from the West Coast, M/S Riddarfjärden (built in 1936 as M/S Disa). With its cozy salon and large sun deck, it is the perfect boat for transport and mingling in the Stockholm archipelago!
