Step aboard our historic steamship S/S Blidösund and enjoy a classic Christmas buffet along with the winter scenery of the archipelago in a truly unique experience. Savor all the holiday favorites – from herring and Christmas ham to “Janssons frestelse” and a bountiful dessert table – as the ship glides atmospherically through the winter-clad Stockholm archipelago. Step aboard S/S Blidösund for the final voyage of the year through the Blidösund strait. Experience sparkling archipelago landscapes, a festive Christmas atmosphere, and the timeless feeling of tradition. Make the journey even more special by reserving a table in the ship’s beautiful dining room and enjoy the scents and flavors of the season from our à la carte menu.

S/S Blidösund is a true museum, preserved in the same condition as when she was first launched in 1911. During the summer, she runs her own program of music cruises and excursions, but on days when she is not operating scheduled tours, she is available for private hire. Onboard, there are three dining rooms with seating for a total of 60 guests. In the aft salon—where musicians perform during the music evenings—long tables can be set up to accommodate an additional 40–50 people.

Together with our volunteer support association, Föreningen Blidösund, we’ve created a more extensive program for the summer of 2025 than ever before—a mix of music cruises, exciting excursions, and regular sailings to and from Norrtälje and the Blidösund strait.
